Hi, I'm Mike Hernandez
I grew up in San Antonio and learned my trade in the US Navy, where I served as an electrician for 8 years. After getting out in 2005, I got my Texas journeyman license, worked for a large electrical contractor in Austin for 5 years, and got my Master Electrician license in 2009.
In 2010, I started Mike's Electric because I was tired of working for companies where the goal was to upsell every customer. I wanted to build a business based on doing honest work at fair prices — the kind of place I'd want to hire if I were the customer.
My wife Maria and our two kids are my reason for getting up every morning. We live in Round Rock, which means I'm genuinely your neighbor. When I work on your home, I treat it the way I'd want someone to treat mine.

Honesty First
I tell you what you actually need — not what pads my invoice. If your outlets just need to be tightened, I'm not going to recommend rewiring your whole house.
Respect for Your Home
Drop cloths go down before I start. Every screw goes back in. I vacuum up drywall dust. Your home should look exactly like it did when I arrived — just with better electricity.
Real Communication
I answer my phone. I return calls the same day. I send photos if I find something you need to see. You will never be left wondering what's going on with your project.
